A Taste of Game for 50 diners
The guests were given a tour around the Hook Norton brewery before the buffet, which included a wide variety of game, such as venison, pigeon partridge, pheasant and rabbit.
Managing director of the brewery, and great-great grandson of the founder, James Clarke and his staff shared the secret behind their beers and explained how they complemented the dishes available.
Jenni Thompson, BASC regional officer for the south east who help organise the event said: These events are a great way to raise awareness of game as food and to encourage people to try new ways of cooking game and different game dishes. Such events have had a very positive benefit to the game market, with sales doubling in the last two years.
