Will a secondhand Sprocker make a good peg dog?

Could it be made into a good peg dog, how long would it take and roughly how much would it cost to do it?

Everyone has their own idea of what constitutes a good peg dog – mine would be one that is rock steady, responds instantly to the stop whistle and is also able to take hand signals out on retrieve at a good distance.

At four years of age your new dog is well advanced in its training and changing what is required of him now isn’t going to be easy.

That said it depends if he’s been taught to sit and stay – if he has then reinforcing this to apply to the peg shouldn’t be too much of a problem, it would come down to what you expected of him.

It would be difficult to estimate cost and how long it would take without a full assessment.
