Fancy having a Gun from the Royal Gurkha Rifles on your shooting team?
Take part in the rifle and shotgun shooting competitions at the Royal Gurkha Rifles charity shoot and you can ask one of them to join your team as a ringer!
On Friday 11 December there will be an open day and charity shoot in aid of the Gurkha Welfare Trust’s Nepal Earthquake Fund at the Highland Shooting Centre, by Lairg, Sutherland.
The 2nd Battalion Royal Gurkha Rifles will be in attendance
Events taking place on the open day will include rifle and shotgun shooting competitions and re-entry for those who would like to try the sporting clay target challenge and air pistol shooting.
There will be competitions and prizes for teams of four and individual High Gun.
You can enter on the day from 10am for £25 a head or £100 for a pre-arranged team and soldiers of Royal Gurkha Rifles are available to join your team.
A variety of prizes can be won, including a pair of Zeiss binoculars and yearly subscriptions to various sporting magazines.
Enjoy venison curry Nepali-style
Meet with the regiment throughout the day where they will be cooking venison in a traditional Nepali curry as well as other crafts, alongside demonstrations of some of the specialist military kit and optics. The day will be rounded off with an evening at the Achness Hotel with a traditional Nepali show and a chance to try some of the curry.
