Airline ammunition limits
A)A Consider how many cartridges you may need and then check with your host or agent about the availability of 65mm ammunition. Short-chambered cartridges can be difficult to obtain overseas, so it may be necessary to take your own.
Check to ensure that the airline will carry ammunition and, assuming it does so, this will have to be packed separately from your gun. Civil Aviation Authority rules stipulate that you may take a maximum of 5kg of sporting ammunition for your own use. This is calculated in gross weight and the cartridges must be packed securely in their boxes, so weigh your ammunition carefully before packing your bags.
