At what age should a hob kit be castrated?
Ferrets
EDWARD COOK says: One hob will easily ‘serve’ as many jills as possible given the opportunity (there’s a joke there somewhere). The best time for a hob to be castrated is between six and eight months.
As for costs, it would depend on where you got your potential hoblet from and what your local vet will charge. The reason for using a hoblet is that it can still mate with a jill ? it can’t make her pregnant but the act of mating will take her out of season.
