New code for Internet dog sellers
The Pet Advertising Advisory Group (PAAG) has published a set of minimum standards for websites offering dogs for sale, to improve animal welfare and to protect members of the public from ending up with sick, dangerous or stolen animals. The standards have been endorsed by DEFRA and Lord de Mauley, the minister responsible for animal welfare, who gathered the leading online pet classified websites together to discuss the need for urgent improvement.
