NGO dinner drums up £2k for keepers in need

More than £2,000 was raised for the Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust and National Gamekeepers’ Organisation Educational Trust at a well-attended event in Trearddur Bay, Anglesey on 17 February. 

Fifty people enjoyed the evening in The Stores Italian restaurant, generously hosted by David and Liz Soutter along with Steve McGuigan of the NGO Educational Trust. One guest even made the six-and-a-half-hour trek south from Dundee, such was the level of support. 

Guest speaker Sir Johnny Scott kept guests entertained all evening with his raconteuring and auctioneering skills, in the company of both the local and regional Members of Parliament and Welsh Assembly, Virginia Crosbie MP and Mark Isherwood AM. Other speakers included farmer and author Gareth Wyn Jones and NGO chairman David Pooler.
