Shoot with Shooting Gazette at West London Shooting School
Your opportunity to shoot a Purdey shotgun with members of the Shooting Gazette team at West London Shooting School.
This year sees Shooting Gazette celebrate its 25th birthday and to celebrate we have organised a one-off shoot day to give you the opportunity to come and shoot with the Shooting Gazette’s famous faces. For this special day with only 50 places available we have teamed up with Purdey who are celebrating their 200th anniversary, so you will also be able to meet their team and try out some of their fabulous guns.
This unique shooting opportunity will take place at West London Shooting School on October 2, so it is well timed to hone your skills in time for the pheasant season.
Among the Shooting Gazette team present will be celebrity shooting instructor Ed Watson, pigeon shooting maestro Will Garfit and incomparable wordsmith Giles Catchpole. Also in attendance will be Shooting Gazette editor Will Hetherington and the rest of team who put the magazine together.
Meanwhile, the men from Purdey will be on hand to discuss this most famous of all gunmakers and they will also have a number of Purdey shotguns with them that you will be able to try on the day.
The format
The day will start at West London Shooting School in Northolt on Thursday October 2 at 9am. After bacon rolls and an introduction, shooting will take place with a minimum of 100 clays per person. It will be an imaginative layout and all guns will have the chance to pit their skills against the experts on the day. And the Purdey team will be on hand with a selection of shotguns for all to try. There will be a refreshment stop mid-morning where all guns will have the chance to meet and discuss their progress.
When everyone has finished shooting the whole team will return to the fabulous West London lodge for lunch (included in the cost), prize giving and speeches. It will be a fantastic day, so we hope you can join us.
