Delighted that our home grown team won the hard-fought City Shots Challenge with an impressive score of 78x100

City Shots Challenge

Keenly contested, this corporate clay shooting competition takes place on the Saturday morning of the CLA Game Fair and gives competitively spirited British companies the chance to participate in one of the most well-attended shooting events in the country sports calendar.

Beating off competition

Each team of four tackled two flushes of 50 challenging clays and also enjoyed a full day of VIP hospitality.

The winning team comprised none other than our very own Sporting Gun’s editor-at-large Robin Scott, writers Jack and Tom Sykes and photographer Paul Quagliana who all work for parent publishing company Time Inc. UK. They beat off competition from Harewood Estate, IMG Group, Strutt & Parker, Pol Roger, Femmes Fatales, Charles Stanley and Fieldsports magazine.

Lucky to have a couple of wildfowlers

Team captain Robin Scott commented: “We’re very pleased to have won today. All the teams were tested by the set up, and we were lucky to have a couple of wildfowlers on our side to shoot the particularly challenging dropping birds.” The team were awarded with the coveted City Shots Trophy and each member received a £500 voucher to spend in Holland & Holland.
