Student Gamekeepers win college awards at Lackham
Three gamekeeping students were awarded prizes at Wiltshire College Lackham’s awards ceremony, Celebration of Success.
William Creamer was Beat Captain of the Year, and is to study for a BSc in rural land management at the Royal Agricultural University.
Samuel Butcher won the Bright Seeds Game Management Student of the Year and will be taking a gap year to work in deer management before starting a degree in wildlife management at Lackham.
Kieran Hale was awarded Gamekeeper of the Season and has moved to New Zealand to take up a gamekeeping post.
Liam Stokes, the curriculum manager for countryside management at Lackham, said: “Though we were sad to see such superb students leave, we are extremely proud of all their accomplishments and we wish them the very best in the future.”
