- Her sporting hero is American Kim Rhode who won gold in London 2012 along with Olympic gold medals in Athens, Beijin and Sydney
- She shoots with a handmade Perazzi MX2000.
- She describes her Perazzi as ‘perfect’
- It was specially created for her in orange and black colours
- She started shooting at age 10 with her grandfather who was a keen clay shooter
- She says she was hooked on shooting from that time on
- Her grandfather encouraged her to try all the different disciplines FITASC, DTL, trap and skeet
- She competes in skeet because she “loves it”
- She was BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year in 2013
- She says: “being positive can make something good happen and that’s how I work”
- She was competing with the England team at the age of 12
- In 2013 she equalled the world record, shooting 74 out of 75 clays.
- Amber Hill is 5ft 2 in tall
- She goes to the gym four or five teams a week, saying that it helps her with her sport
