If the A Level results this year and GCSEs turn out to be what was needed, then maybe it’s time to give the achieving young Gun a well-deserved present.

As any young Gun should know, eating what you shoot is all part of the etiquette. Book a lesson with Tim Maddams – who wrote none other than the River Cottage Game Cookery Book. He knows just about everything there is to know about cooking game, venison, rabbit … and he has an engaging manner which will go down well with youngsters. Shooting cinema
